The Sydney Street Choir celebrates 20 years of changing lives through the power of song

The Street Choir is proud to have celebrated two decades of making a real impact in the lives of those who have experienced disadvantage. Our concert in Martin Place featured performances by our founder Jonathon Welch AM, the Macquarie Choir and of course the Street Choir itself. Members past and present delivered an incredible performance of courage, hope and celebration.

"It was a truly moving tribute to 20 years of community making", said choir director James Paul, "and it was such a special treat to have our founder Jonathon Welch with us on the day. We are so proud of our achievements and we are looking forward to another 20 years of changing lives through the power of song."

Leonie Oakes, the Street Choir's Social Welfare Worker said of the choir members - "They are so inspirational. The members are some of the bravest people I have ever met and the choir really does mean so much to them- the Street Choir really does change lives."
